Live Basket Intelligence

A working reconstruction of how a Thai fashion catalogue moves from thumb to order — and where it quietly dies. Informational fee: ฿41,900 for an Atelier Seat.

Printed charts and a calculator on an analyst desk

What you leave able to do

  • Rebuild a mobile funnel from event exports without assuming desktop session logic.
  • Separate festival traffic from genuine stall points inside a single session.
  • Write a one-page COD brief a warehouse lead can use on a Monday.
  • Defend a live-sale window with timestamps, not with a marketing slogan.
  • Present to a visiting merchandiser without hiding behind a dashboard screenshot.

We do not cover paid media buying, Meta Ads Manager, or influencer rate cards. If your brief is “scale reach,” this is the wrong programme.

Modules

Eight weeks, two evenings, one Saturday lab

  1. 01

    Event grain on a phone

Screen views versus tap targets. Why a desktop “page” model miscounts Thai app catalogues.

  2. 02

    Session depth without vanity

Scroll depth, size-guide opens, and the difference between curiosity and intent.

  3. 03

    Basket composition

SKU mix, gift-with-purchase noise, and how a live host changes the average basket mid-stream.

  4. 04

    Checkout stalls

Address fields, OTP waits, and 7-Eleven pick-up as conversion events rather than “UX polish.”

  5. 05

Cash on delivery as a metric

Refusal rates, provincial patterns, and what the warehouse already knew before the dashboard did.

  6. 06

    Network weather

3G fallback during a flash sale. Treating latency as a funnel step.

  7. 07

    The merchandiser memo

One page, no appendix theatre. You rewrite until a floor lead can act.

  8. 08

    Critique

A visiting buyer from a Pathumwan retailer sits in. You defend, you cut, you leave with the note.

Questions we actually get

Do I need SQL?

You need to be willing to sit with CSV exports and a spreadsheet that does not hide behind a BI tool. SQL helps; it is not a gate. Week one will expose anyone who only ever clicked a Looker tile.

Is there a real limitation I should know?

Yes. The dataset we use is a redacted fashion catalogue from 2023–2025. It will not teach grocery freshness, pharmacy regulation, or marketplace seller scorecards. If your world is 7-Eleven private label, you will still learn method, but you will have to translate SKU logic yourself.

Can my whole team join?

Up to three seats from one company per cohort. Beyond that the critique becomes a private meeting and we stop it. Write to the desk if you need a closed run.

From recent seats

Module 05 on COD refusal finally gave me language the warehouse already used. I still think week six’s network lab ran an hour too long.

Pim, Bangkok · ecommerce analyst

Nalinee cut my first memo in half. The second version is what we still pin above the packing table.

Client in women’s apparel

★★★★☆ — strong on live-sale windows, thinner if you hoped for paid social. I knew that from the syllabus and still found it honest.
